Driven by the gospel of Jesus Christ, Cactus Nazarene Ministry Center exists to compassionately and holistically empower all the people of Cactus.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
Cactus Nazarene Ministry Center (CNMC) began in 2013. This community development center is located in the diverse Texas panhandle town of Cactus. CNMC ministers to the 20+ cultures that live in Cactus and surrounding areas, primarily immigrants and refugees from Mexico, Central America, Myanmar, and Africa through:
We endeavour to develop healthy, bright and successful leaders, while partnering with families in the Cactus community, via Christ filled education, mentoring and fun!
We provide Dept. of Justice recognized and accredited legal immigration services, and are one of only three non-profit immigration legal services in the panhandle.
English as a Second Language classes are held at the Center for those who are beginners, intermediate, or advanced language students. They include a variety of times and days designed to be flexible with the students' schedules.
Community Engagement includes activities like: partnering with JBS Beef and providing meat for the community, Ice-cream socials in our facility, BBQs, VBS and other evangelistic efforts from our visiting ministry teams. We are always looking for opportunities to engage with our community, whether through events, teams and more.
The GED Prep Program offers classes to help students prepare to work toward a complete GED (high school equivalency diploma.) Most classes are currently offered in the evenings.
